THINKING ABOUT ...
The installation consists of two videos.
One screen pictures the head of the artist, connected to an EEG machine to measure the brain activity. The sound of the EEG is audible.
The second video visualizes the outcome. The thoughts about the meaning of life. It is an 11 minutes video loop that presents a compilation of collected videosequences (self captured and found footage) dealing with people's ideas about the purpose of life, or what is legimated in consideration of the personal target. The video is divided into the subject areas: religion, war, consumption, appearance, prestige, sexuality and love.
The great range of contents gives the audience an idea about how impossible it is to definitely answer the question about the meaning of life. Perhaps it's the kind of feelings which people have, when they are coming closer to their aim, that overlap most between the different people
